The official first day of spring 2026 is Friday, March 20th. This date also marks the vernal equinox. March 20th is the astronomical beginning of the spring season in the Northern Hemisphere and the beginning of the autumn season in the Southern Hemisphere. Meteorologically speaking, March 1st is the official first day of spring. Both dates are considered accurate. So, no matter which day you choose to celebrate as the first day of spring, be sure to enjoy it!
This spring we encourage donors to give to a CharityWatch Top-Rated Environment & Climate Change charity.
