A coalition of 64 state and national agricultural organizations has pushed back against current fertilizer trade policies. In a letter sent last week, these groups requested that Mosaic and J.R. Simplot withdraw their support for phosphate import duties, arguing that these tariffs are causing fertilizer prices to rise significantly. Additionally, on Friday, a class action antitrust lawsuit was filed against several major fertilizer producers, further intensifying scrutiny on the industry.
